Jonesville Academy Scholars will learn from certified teachers from the Bowling Green Independent School District and Warren County Public Schools. WKU student teachers will join the classrooms to assist in providing an energetic and interactive learning experience. Educators spend every other Saturday for a total of 14 Saturdays with a group of up to 20 students teaching from one of our three core subject areas.
The Jonesville Academy seeks to provide a space inclusive of black and brown educators, and experienced teachers known for being advocates for youth of color in the academic pursuits.
Applications for teachers will be accepted until June 15 or until positions are filled. Teachers in the BGISD and WCPS school systems will be compensated thanks to the Jonesville Academy’s partnership with each school district.
